We all knew that if the twins arrived early our co-worker would need to be with her daughter, so we took a look at our schedule and realized that she was the only experienced staff scheduled to work. One of the women who has retired from the department did agree to pick up the day, so we all thought it would be OK. I really thought it would be OK, but we would all have to work overtime because we are just not as fast at our jobs yet. I must admit that I felt a confidence this week that I hadn't felt yet. I was remembering all the little differences between sources. I received a compliment for a job well done. So, I knew no matter what, as long as those grand babies were healthy, the work would get done.
I arrived a little bit early at work on Wednesday. I thought I might need to get the day started by printing our reports. Much to my joy, my co-worker was sitting at her desk with a smile on her face. Babies?? I asked. No was her reply. She said she went to her daughter's home and helped her. She massaged her daughter's swollen feet and legs with lotion. They talked. Her son-in-law and daughter agreed that a day off work with her feet elevated would be beneficial. The contractions all but stopped. God is so good. He put people with a servant heart on Earth to make a positive difference in this world. Always know that we can make a difference in the lives of others when we are humble and serve with joy. Thank you God. I am so undeserving and yet you bless me and give me the pleasure of witnessing the goodness in others.
My God sighting is my co-worker, who with gentle touch and words was able to comfort and assist her family. Peace be with you.
