As the seasons change I always think to history and the customs of our forefathers who traveled over hill and dale, following warm weather. We don't have to do this because of our permanent housing with indoor heat and plumbing. We stay in place weathering the storms of fall and winter while we wait for signs of spring. Retirees are able to change this cycle of life back to following the warmth as they winter in places like Florida, Texas and California. These folks are frequently referred to as "Snowbirds". My parents were part of this group and both said they felt better physically living in the warmth and sunshine. What do you believe God intended for us? Do you believe we were to stay living in one place or travel around to follow the warmth of the sun? Why?
My God Sighting for today was a communication I received in the mail today. A local person in my community reached out to me. They sent me a letter and published pamphlet. The topic was a question, "Can the Bible Make Your Life Better?" Well, YES, Yes it can make your life better. A few Bible principles about being safety conscious, controlling your anger and avoiding overeating were quoted. All three of these topics grabbed my attention and I was in agreement, relating with 2 Corinthians 7:1, Deuteronomy 22:8, Proverbs 14:29 and Proverbs 23:20. Check out these verses. God used this person to reach me and I'm sure others. I am thankful for this Servant of God who chose to listen to God and act on faith as he mailed this information to me. Now it is up to me to be the faithful servant as I write this post to share my faith. Do you hear God speaking to you? Are you prepared to say, Here I am Lord; use me today. May God bless you abundantly as we enter this fall season of harvest and thanksgiving.
