One important aspect to the sermon was the fact that Judas Iscariot, one of the disciples, was critical and judging of Mary when she used a pound of expensive perfume to anoint the feet of Jesus. Judas said the perfume could have been sold and the money used to care for the poor. The problem is that Judas doesn’t have that servant heart. He was critical because he would usually steal from the funds for the poor. The message seemed clear. We must look into our motives to ensure we grow a servant heart instead of judging others. Also, serving others requires action. God will judge us by what we do not just what we say.
God took action as He demonstrated His love for us by giving the world his only son. What an act of love! Jesus then took action to fulfill the Father’s plan. Jesus sacrificed himself to atone for our sins. Wow! Talk about taking action. His intent was our salvation. Thank you Jesus!
My God sighting was when my heart was touched by the sermon today. The Word preached by a humble servant and received by an unworthy servant is my God sighting. May God bless you
