I parked and approached the scene. I could see the man who had fallen was not my husband. I entered the club to look for my husband. Another patron told me he was in the restroom and planned to drive home after. I waited. After a short time the patron looked at me and said. I think he’s been gone for quite a while. I walked to the restroom to check on him. There he was on the floor unable to get up.
A couple of male patrons came to his aid, helping my husband to stand but he was unable to put any weight on his left leg. We called the squad and they transported him to our local hospital. 2 fractured vertebrae in the spine and 1 fractured rib. It could have been much worse. These fractures would heal with time and some pain medication would ease the pain.
God’s plan is Always perfect. My husband had trouble with his oxygen levels while in the hospital. They ran different tests and gave him medicine through his IV along with oxygen to breathe. This helped. It also kept him in the hospital long enough to make sure any withdrawal from alcohol symptoms could be treated. He was discharged from the hospital on oxygen and pain medicine.
Our actions in life have consequences. When we are not living God‘s plan for us, God does let us experience the consequences. My prayers were answered. I pray every day for God to take care of my husband and to guide him back. The healing process is going to take some time for my husband and this time can be used to explore new and healthy hobbies; to get and stay sober.
Look around and be fully aware of your environment because God sightings are everywhere every day. Our eyes and our minds must be open to see them. I am so very thankful that God answered my prayers and that he communicated with me through the rainbows 🌈 last Sunday. I was able to deal with the situation knowing that God was in control and that God has my back.
