My God sighting for today is God’s people. I went to the 10:45 service at church today. Mid way through the service one of our parishioners became ill, passing out. God’s people rushed to this woman’s side to help. We are fortunate to have a few healthcare professionals in our congregation who came to provide aide. We also have loving people who helped by calling 911. A couple gentlemen stood watch by the doors, opening them for the squad. One woman directed them into the sanctuary. Our pastor remained calm, directing the organist to play the next song as he offered prayer for this woman, her family, all who helped and those who would be providing care at the hospital. God’s people taking care of God’s people. We are all God’s people, so let us all care for one another.

Hello again. It is Saturday, the 4th day of the new year. It is also the day my nephew, Tad, was born. What a blessing and challenge he is always. I will never forget the day he had his snowmobile accident. He suffered a spinal injury. We were not sure if he would be able to walk again but we prayed to God, asking for a miracle. Prayers were answered. This is my God sighting for today: prayers answered.
Good morning. Today is Friday, January 3. It is gray and gloomy outside today that seems very appropriate for today because a dear friend died and we will be paying our respects to the family today. The ground is wet and it makes me think that tears of angels have come down from heaven in empathy for the family and friends who grieve. I am sure you have heard it said that death is a blessing in disguise when people have been suffering terribly from a disease process. I believe that is the case with our friend.
I am a believer in Christ and the father Almighty. He was the maker of heaven and earth. He created mankind. He loves us enough to give us opportunities for personal growth and to experience happiness on earth through The love of our family and fellow man. There are days that I wish we had the opportunity to start over In a land that did not have a monetary system of today’s standards. Wouldn’t it be wonderful to reap what we sow here on earth and be a witness to it? Well, I believe that if we focus and be purposeful with our daily lives, we can witness what we sow. The focus really needs to be on ourselves and our immediate family members. Those are the people we have the most influence over and can set the example for them to follow. Yesterday I was blessed to see my middle daughter sharing the love of Christ by preparing dinner for her friend, the daughter of our deceased friend. This is my God sighting. I would like to believe that the example set by my parents and my husband‘s parents allowed us to teach our children how to share the love of Christ during times of great loss. God is so good and the greatest teacher. We need to spend more time reading the Bible to be able to learn from the Master. May God bless you today. Good morning to January 2, 2020. Today is my second day to live a more purpose filled life. If you are wondering how I started my day, I am about to tell you. It is nothing exciting. I woke up. What a blessing this is and all too often this is taken for granted. Next in my list is morning care. I always have to brush my teeth to start the day and then I love to soak in a hot tub while sipping on coffee. I really drink cream with a little bit of coffee in it. This is thanks to my wonderful grandmother who let me drink coffee with her in the morning. It really wasn’t until I was an adult that it dawned on me she was giving me milk and splashing coffee in it so I thought I was drinking coffee like a grown-up. Grandmothers can be so wise. The next thing on my list to do is laundry and I have gotten that started. Now it’s time to hop on my rowing machine. Did I have a God sighting this morning? Yes. I witnessed my husband cleaning the French door windows on the outside. He was able to do this because God has given us a beautiful, sunshiny day. My husband is a gift from God and I am very thankful for him. Two God sightings and it is not noon yet! More to come.
Hello January 2020! I have heard it said before, out with the old and in with the new, but I am wondering just what will be new this decade. I rarely keep new year resolutions so this year I decided to make a promise to myself. My promise is to live with purpose. Lifestyle flexibility has allowed me to go with the flow and be somewhat indecisive. I believe I will be a happier person by giving myself a more defined purpose each day. So far, so good. Midnight and past New Year’s Day recap reveals work presentation on track, lunch with my daughter, preparation of delicious dinner: sausage, Sauerkraut and mashed potatoes, then reading Revelations (Bible).
2019 is quickly coming to an end. It seems as though December was a world wind. I was happy to celebrate the holiday season this year, but it’s over too fast. Thanksgiving was in the last week of November and then the race to celebrate the birth of Jesus. My personal preference is to take it nice and slow celebrating every moment of each day with the people I love. It is during these times that I can appreciate all that surrounds me and I am able to witness the hand of God.
My God sighting for December 2019 is witnessing new life... the birth of my first great grandchild. What a miracle he is! My God is an awesome God! Thank you for blessing our family with new life! Amen. Hello. I cannot believe how fast time seems to fly by for me. Life is busy! My most recent God Sighting involves my husband. He has and is experiencing health issues. Life many men I know, my husband hates to go to the doctor. He just doesn't like to make a fuss, but after noticing a rapidly increase in his pain, I decided it was time to follow up with the medical community. It is extremely important to maintain communication between all your medical providers and I always try to do this. We started with our family doctor. He gave us some ideas and got the "ball rolling" for us. He suggested we pursue my husband's diagnosis with the VA (military), which we did. Diagnostic testing was ordered and completed. Results were reviewed with us. Surgery is the next step, right after obtaining pre-op clearance. Thank God the VA now allows veterans to go to local facilities. We scheduled the pre-op appointment with my husband's cardiologist. Thank God because the EKG showed my husband's heart was not beating in a normal rhythm and a hospital admission to correct this next.
My God Sighting: God arranging for my husband to be with the right doctor at the right time to have a life-threatening heart rhythm identified and corrected. This also provided us with some peace. My husband was worried about the upcoming surgery. I was able to say with confidence that God is paving the way for a successful surgery. We are so blessed and thankful to God.
God has provided us with riches beyond our imagination. We need to be mindful, taking time to explore our environment, and become aware of the many gifts, God sightings, within our reach. I am amazed by the wonder of life on this planet, especially plants. For many, the artful use of plants to heal has become extinct. For others, interest in natural solutions has and is blossoming. I fall into this group and I am very interested in using safe natural remedies for myself and my family. I love to share information, so here I go!
Essential Oils to the rescue!! First up for discussion is Copaiba Essential Oil. I am uploading a video from doTERRA. I believe it is important to purchase certified pure therapeutic grade essential oils if your intended use is to improve your health. Faith produces miracles. Wow. I need to remember this. I’m blessed to have witnessed this. On a Sunday in church when Pastor Bill asked if anyone else had prayer requests, I heard God speak to me. God told me to stand up and ask for a miracle for my uncle. I listened to God and stood up in front of everyone. I ask everyone to pray for a miracle because we’ve all been told that’s what it was going to take to save him. Instantly I felt a peace come over me. I knew, without doubt, our prayers had been answered. I left church that day with peace and knowledge that my uncle was going to be ok.
Guess what. Within a few days my mother received a phone call from her sister. I hate that he told us that the doctors don’t know how or why but my uncle was beginning to turn the corner towards life. My mother and I went to the hospital. When my Aunt Betty told me she didn’t know why he was getting better; I joyfully told her that I knew why he was getting better. I told her I stood up in church and asked for a miracle. I told Aunt Betty that God answered prayers and gave us a miracle for my uncle. Not good whenever people who really believed in God. I think they always believed in some kind of higher power or maybe not. After recovering, my uncle told us about the angel that came to him. He described my visit I would like to think that God used me It’s so humbling to think about because I am a sinner. I do believe in God and after recovering from this illness that almost claimed his life, my uncle became a believer. Our role in the relationship with God is to have faith. God provides the miracles, including the miracle of forgiveness. Praise and thanks be to God. |
